Conceiving after laparotomy of stage 4 endo
Hi. I have stage 4 endo and was unable to conceive naturally due to blocked Fallopian tubes. I was referred for nhs IVF and am now 8 weeks pregnant ! I would strongly recommend cranial abdominal massage. Also know as fertility massage. I had this once a month for 6 months before starting the ivf and feel convinced it helped 'unblock' me . Ps I've just had my 36th birthday so am no spring chicken either. Good luck xx
Hi
thank you for your reply, that's really made me feel more positive. Thanks for the massage tip also, congratulations and I wish you a happy & healthy pregnancy xx
Thank you - another miracle is I've had no pain for over a year. No idea why not xx
Hi, I have stage 4 endometriosis too and also was unable to conceive naturally, but have two daughters conceived with ivf. Good luck. Xxx
I had a laparoscopy to diagnose the endometriosis and they lazered some of it then, but no other treatment. Just then went straight to ivf. This was seven years ago, though, so I'm sure things have progressed since then and they may now do things differently. Xxx
Hey, my last post tells my story (it's called "success story...pregnancy). I have stage 4 and conceived naturally, eventually. I'm 25 weeks. Good luck x
Thank you, I will x
Hi
i had a laparotomy in 2014 for endo and on my first cycle of ivf- i got a positive, im now 12 weeks.
good luck ☺
I had a laparoscopy in 2005 for stage 4 endo and I was able to conceive naturally after. I have to add that I did not have endo on my ovaries or fallopian tubes. I had a healthy boy and 3 years later I had another boy, so that is my success story. I did use extensive acupuncture (and Chinese herbs) for 3-6 months before I conceived, so that could have helped.
the doc is able to clear the tubes during the same surgery to aid conceiving after lap surgery.
