Hello everyone,
I'm new here. I started my period today and as usual it has come with severe pains and aches, nausea, discomfort, frustration etc. I started my period when I was 12. New to high school, I was confused and worried but with the help of a few older ones I felt better. But not for long. I began experiencing really severe menstrual cramps and everyone blamed it on me taking too much sugar. I stopped that but unfortunately the pain didn't. If anything, it got worse. It got so bad that I had to see a doctor and eventually I was diagnosed with a cyst in 2013 and had a laparotomy to have it taken out. But shortly after that the pain continued and this time it was so bad I would have severe seizures. During this time, I was always throwing up, had a temperature, bloated, couldn't eat or walk and then couldn't leave my room. I would literally have to crawl if I had to go to the bathroom. I had irregular bleeding and pain during bowel movements or urinating. My period was also very heavy. Which caused me to stain the sheets uncontrollably. To be honest, it has been so frustrating and depressing. About a month ago, another cyst was discovered on my right ovary after my mum.rished me to the hospital at 3am in the morning. Also my right kidney was swollen. And when I'm on my period this pain is heightened. I was reading about Millen Magese, Tanzanian model today and her awareness on endometriosis when I came across this forum and decided to share my experience to see if anyone could help me.
I'm presently in the UK on holiday and I really want to do a laparoscopy. Can anyone recommend a good private hospital for me? As I'm not entitled to NHS and also does anyone have an idea of the cost of a laparoscopy in a private hospital in the UK?
Please help me if you can, I need a break from this pain.
Thank you in advance
