Depends on how bad your endo is, I am under their team. I find they are relunctant to operate unless it is absolute necessary in order to preserve fertility. Fat use that is when everything is stuck together n in chronic pain daily. I was lucky n got a cancellation. Due to have lap no3 in a few weeks
I had my lap done on 30th dec 2014 they were absolutely brilliant with me. They made sure I was ok all the time as it was my 1st time being put to sleep so I was so nervous but they held my hand and reassured me. I woke up in recovery and sill half asleep I was just babbling lol but had some more sleep to be woken up by tea and toast and they phoned my hubby for me. I cannot fault them at all. Hope this helps.
I wouldn't say I had bad treatment there but I had constant appointments about what they were going to do (but always waiting for a date). My pain was becoming unbearable and there was no sign of any surgery so in the end I found a private consultant and borrowed money to go privately. I had the surgery within 3 weeks and had immediate relief. I then went on to have my son through IVF but I don't even know if I'd have got this far yet if I had still waited for the team at BWH. I physically could not bear it any longer so felt I had no choice but to go private. They were all very kind at BWH so as I say I didnt have bad treatment but my new consultant ( who I now see on the NHS Choose and Book system) is phenomenal and a well known endo specialist so I feel I made the right decision for me.
Good luck to you for whatever plans you make.
