I recently had two stool tests come back positive for inflammation. I am certain it is related to my endo, rather than IBS, because the symptoms began at almost exactly the same time as the endo symptoms. My GP is referring me to a gastro consultant as well as my gynaecologist , although she believes he will tell me it is likely endo on the bowel. I suggest you discuss this with your doctor.

Hope you get the help you need :)

Thank u I have had positive stool sample too. And an endoscopy which showed inflammation in my stomach upper intestine and lower. But I've been messed about saying I have crohns and then put on steroids then told aw wait it's not crohns lets go back to gyn and see. So I'm on the injection to stop my ovaries and putting me on early menopause to see if it is endo after all. Just a huge long way for short cut. I was just wondering cause I had inflammation all over there and my bladder sorry too if it's all related

Thanks hope u keep well

Have you had a laparoscopy? That's the only way to diagnose endo.

I have been told I have crohns, IBS etc and then told that I don't so I know how you feel being messed about. It seems to take a long time to get a straight answer!

Yeah I had two years ago tho and was done by General gyn so I've asked for referral to specialist centre. Yeah it's ridiculous I was put on so many different medication for ibs crohns and for them to then say o we made a mistake it's horrible

Have you been referred to a specialist centre? How easy was it? I'm trying to move but it seems to be difficult to convince my GP to refer me somewhere else so I'm just going to ask my current consultant (general gyn) if she'll refer me.

I havnt as yet going to see my gyn in March for another injection and going to ask him then I have a letter already for him to send with it. I was advices when I phoned my centre I need a gyn to refer me for specialist...I am in Scotland and it's different to England and Wales I think. I am anticipating it's going to take a while for referral to be sent and seen and respond but I'm praying its soon

I see my gyn tomorrow and I'm going to ask her then. I hope it won't be too complicated but I'm not holding my breath as everything seems to take ages.

Hope u get on well tommorw and get start on referral hopefully not take too long but I do agree everything seems to take its time ... If only it was made easier then less people would suffer and more people would be aware and recognise the condition
