Personal question! Pain during sex experiences

Personal question! What have your endometriosis experiences been with pain during sex? What kind of pain?

My GP has told me he thinks I have endo for other reasons, but just wondering if this could also be related.

I have widespread endometriosis but the worst areas are my right uterosacral ligament and pouch of Douglas. I get aching centrally in my lower back and at the right side of my lower abdomen during sex and usually for the whole of the next day. I also sometimes feel a shooting rectal sort of pain during sex. If you have suspected endometriosis and you are experiencing pain during or after sex it is more than likely it is related to the endo. x

Yes I agree withKA I get a painfull ache in my abdomen for a day or so after, and it's uncomfortable during, with shooting pains,

I have got my lap on the 25th to confirm endo but one of my symptoms is pain during and after sex. I don't know how to describe it the pain,it's as if it's deep inside me where it hurts when having sex and it hurts a lot to the point where if we don't stop it will make me cry (which isn't s good thing when having sex ). it's also then as if my whole pelvic region aches for about a day after even something as simple as going for a wee after feels uncomfortable.

I am so lucky to have such and understanding boyfriend, been having problems with sex for nearly 2 years, I think in the last 6 months only been able to successfully have sex about 2 or 3 times so I'm hoping what every they do during my lap will give me some relief.

Thanks ladies. From what you have said my pain during sex is probably not related, but I can always mention it if I get referred to someone by my GP.

Pain during sex can be a symptom of endo. You should definitely mention it.
