I came on here to find support and help that may get me through the next few months as I wait for my appointment for my laparoscopy.
I am a young woman with suspected endometriosis which is already affecting my life so much. I'm writing this as I've just returned from yet again another appointment pleading with my doctor to get me an appointment ASAP with the gyn unit at the hospital to discuss my laparoscopy, as I've yet again had to take another day out my life to stay in bed with the pain. I can't cope with this much longer, I have been waiting three months already to be sent out an appointment for the hospital and have just been told it could take another three months on top of that as they have referred me twice already. I broke down once I returned home, why won't anyone just bloody help me?
I'm experiencing excruciating period/ovulation pains in my pelvic area, legs and back, I'm constantly constipated and even having sex sometimes is painful for me. I've been told to sit at home and dope myself up on solpadol, mefenamic acid and tranexamic acid tablets to deal with the pain/bleeding which make me dizzy, nauseous and unable to drive.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to speed up getting an appointment with the gynaecolohoy unit? If it doesn't come soon I may be forced to take myself to A&E and beg them to get me seen ASAP. I can't take much more of this.

I went for a private ultrasound scan. Because the scan revealed 5/6cm cystic masses my case became urgent. It may be worth paying to have a private scan. Mine was only £100 and well worth it. X
I was in exactly the same boat as what you are now Hun, I went to my doctor and lucky for me she is brilliant she had me admitted to gyneacolgy that day as I was in mortal agony she carried out and internal and because of the pain I was in and the bleeding she phoned gynaecology and they told her to send me up, I saw to amazing doctors one female and one male and after an internal scan and an internal I was told I was on the list for lap and would be a maximum 16 weeks to wait and had been waiting 12 for an urgent appointment with gyneacolgy which I still hadn't received an appointment for I was also told by gyneacolgy they were happy to keep me in to monitor my pain relief so if you ain't managing your pain at home your doctor should be able to have you admitted for pain control xxxxx
