Pelvic injections

Hi - I have recently been referred to pain clinic in Leicester, after my 4th operation they are reluctant to operate again due to the amount of adhesions I have had. I know the pain I have is due to them as I can feel them tearing but they won't listen and operate again. The pain specialist said he wants to try nerve block injections on both left and right side - all I know is that you have local anaesthetic and that the block injections have to go really deep, he seemed to Palm off my question as to if it's painful - I'm terrified of needles and the thought of this scares me more than any op I've had so far. Can anyone tell me what it's like? Thanks x
