Hey endo girl. You have just reminded me I need to ring hospital. It's not fair is it? Iv had endo for 19 years and full hysterectomy and going back to my old gynae consultant for advice on next stage cos gp has not really a clue what happens with endo after hysterectomy. It is such a frustrating illness alongside the pain. Have you tried chasing hospital yourself, it sometimes helps but then our hospital I have to say is one of the best in country, so we may not have endo specialists in rural Devon or any knowledge of endo specialists here but we have a good hospital should we fall I'll with anything else lol. I don't actually believe we should have to resort to private healthcare in fairness, its not like we brought any of this on ourselves though good luck to those that can afford it. Hope the group helps though and you feel bit brighter and get some answers bless you xx

That's disgraceful. I did not realise it was so bad in Ireland, I am so sorry and for your uncle. Postcode lottery or what? Our hospitals have to operate within 18 weeks so so unfair for you all there. Hope you get some answers hun xx

Hi. I live in Coleraine. My GP didn't really know what was wrong with me so I went private for the initial consultation but have been referred to the NHS for treatment. This way it keeps the costs low and you get treated a bit quicker. Have you been in touch with the Endo centre in Derry? The endo specialist has a clinic in Belfast so you could see him there - you should ask to get referred to him (Dr Jim Moohan). That's who I'm under now. I only have to wait about 4 months for my Lap, which I initially thought was a long time but I'm finding out that actually its quite good compared to most other places!!

Message me if you want to chat.

Hi. I was in a similar situation to you, waiting too long for diagnostic tests and my first lap - 23 months in total. In desperation I wrote to my MP, received a reply the next day and a phone call from the hospital 2 days later. It saddened me that the hospital didn't listen to me and that it was a case of who you know and not what you know. Anyway it got me there and treated. Give it a go. you have nothing to lose and good luck with everything x
