Endometriosis Forum Newbie :)

Hi everyone! :)

so glad to have come upon this group! I am 27 years old and have been struggling with endometriosis for over 10 years now. Although I have family and friends who are very supportive, it is still hard for them to understand what I actually go through as they cant actually feel what i feel.

Had my 7th laparoscopy last week and feel like iv taken a beating to the stomach!

Would be great to make some new friends where we can all support each other :)

Oh you poor girl. Seven laps indicates that you have been very inadequately treated over many years in what I imagine to be general gynaecology by general obstetricians who are unlikely to be very skilled at either recognising endo or treating it properly. We now have endo centres and I suggest you get the ball rolling on a referral for proper treatment. Click on my name and have a look at my first post on endo and its many possible symptoms and the one on Pouch of Douglas endo to see what you identify with. Then the one on how to find a specialist - be sure to read all the links at the bottom as to you rights if you live in England. The situation in Scotland, Wales and NI is more restricted but there are still centres that you can get referrals to. Feel free to pm me if you need any help. x
