Hi everyone.....

I have started a blog, as a therapy of sorts to help me make sense of my various conditions and hopefully to help others who might feel the same or have similar symptoms and condions.

Feel free to take a peek, leave comments and ask me questions.

Hi

I too am 30 touching 31... I have previously had the endometriosis diagnosis (4 years ago) had my first laparoscopy which was an ablation of the endo... I had the mirena coil put in... Big mistake.. My body hated it and tried to expel it - think contractions - I put up with this daily pain for a year because my gynae thought it wasn't the coil causing it. Finally I had it out (under GA as there were complications. The pain was instantly gone. Anyway I think the endo is back with a vengeance... I have daily pains (not terrible) but daily. My biggest baddest symptom is nausea.. Every frigging day! Some days are so bad that I feel as though I'm going to throw up all day and there is no let up. I never do actually vomit though (a blessing I guess). I take so many anti nausea pills in a week that I have developed a tolerance to them. I'm currently awaiting my appointment with new gynae... It's just over a week away. My question to you is... How long did you have to wait between your appointment and the lap? I know you are in Britain since you discussed the election yesterday but I don't know where in Britain you are. I'm assuming all areas are different. I hope not to have to wait too long. I need a holiday (the last two were ruined because of nausea and pain) and my fast approaching wedding. I want... No... Need to be fixed before that. I want to enjoy the day - not end up in bed by 8pm on my wedding night and not for a good reason if you know what I mean!!!

I'd be grateful if you could keep me (us) updated with your injections and how they go as I see this being an option offered to me also. Thanks

I completely understand - it's just ridiculous! it's the fatigue that gets me. I work really hard and then come home do the home stuff and then I just want to curl up and sleep.......which is not great with three kids, a dog and boyfriend! I should be going out and having fun and it almost becomes a chore because I have to remember pain killers and my plan b outfit if everything goes 'wrong'! it's no life!

The wait between my appointment and lap was about 3 months. my appointment was November and Lap February - the only reason it was in February was because I rang them every week from new year onwards because I was in so much pain and they weren't doing anything. I even marched myself into the hospital at one point. So my advice to you would be to call the department secretary every other day and each time make it clear that you are in pain and that you want the lap ASAP. ask if there's a waiting list that you can go on to take someones place if they cancel as well! its crazy that I have to tell you to do that, they should see you and book you in then and there or at least inform you of waiting times.

I will keep you up to date with the injections - I have to make an on-the-day appointment with my GP as there are no pre-bookable ones so am hoping that I will be able to fit it in around work and taking my little one to and from school next week - always jumping through hoops!

Anyway......good luck and keep me posted.

S :)
