Anyone know where member impatient went?

I haven't seen any posting from

"impatient" in two months, I've tried personal messaging her but did not get a response. I thought she was very beneficial to this forum. Just wondered if anyone knew why she's gone from severalposting daily to vanished.

I have been wondering the same also. Please let us know inpatient.I think it has a lot to do with the changes to the forum format which make it really difficult to keep track of threads and questions.I for one have not been on for ages as I just cant keep track, due to my memory damage. Its a real pity if regular and valued members come off the forum.Cuddlybarb ,brownlow and many other regulars have also disappeared.

I hope inpatient or the other ladies mentioned haven't left the forum as all of them have provided me with valued information and support over the last 12 months and it would be a genuine tragedy to lose any of them from this community!!

Whilst Impatient was a very active member she wasn't actually trained in any way and unfortunately a lot of the information that she was giving out wasn't actually up to date and correct. One example is the idea that endometriosis literally bleeds and sheds new endo seeds each month during menstruation - she very much kept advocating this as truth and that with each period it will spread like seedlings and lead to new endo being implanted elsewhere. This is simply incorrect. The problem is that she was then advocating as if she was an expert (when she isn't at all) that in order to stop the endo from spreading and replanting that women have to go on hormone therapy like the pill or stop their periods with a coil but this simply isn't true and it's dangerous for one woman to be assuming the position of authority and giving out advice like this based on only her limited understanding of the disease. Whilst she may have seemed very knowledgeable there were massive errors in what she was actually saying. I am glad this has obviously been addressed and hope she is receiving the training that Endo UK have offered to those wishing to be a moderator on this forum. It is dangerous to have someone who isn't an expert assume the position of an expert without any supervision or moderation of the advice that they issue out on such a regular basis.

I wasn't aware that there were any moderators addressing members on this forum. I knew she wasn't one. And I never took her advice for more than that of opinion. She suffers like the rest of us and told me she had no medical training. I never take anyone's word as gospel even doctors for that matter. They were the ones who put me on high dose estrogen birth control pills for my pain at 14 years of age. And I take my own experience and make my own observations. I understand not everyone may be aware that there are no experts answering your posts on this forum. There are facebook forums that do have that. I liked this forum simply for getting the human perspective of this disease. For not being intimidated for asking anything. I think listening to the opinions of people with this disease has educated me more in the few months I've been a member than the years I've sifted through internet and books. And made me feel less alone. It's a shame if she was removed from this forum. I know a lot of others miss her as well. If I had a doctor recommend something to me I think I would turn here first for a survey of personal experiences. Not that I'd take one persons advice. But I'd certainly use the discussions to research more closely. You're saying she crossed the line by deliberating her opinion as fact. I get it, but we are forewarned that this is just a forum of discussion and not expertise.
