I am 23 years old and currently not on birth control only condoms. These past two years I have suffered with pelvic pain but last month it was so severe I was admitted to hospital. I was given an ultrasound where it confirmed I had an ovarian cyst sized 2.5 x 3cm on my right ovary. The sonographer thought it was possibly a dermoid cyst or endometrioma as it looked as though it was solid, 6 weeks later I have had a follow up ultrasound where the cyst is now gone on my right ovary but now on my left with the same appearances as the first however the words hemorrhagic cyst were used this time. I have very light periods usually only 3 days but I get pains that start a week before my period, a week during ovulation and a few days after my period. I get pain during intercourse which has now stopped me from being intermate with my fiancé. I get pain when I go to the toilet on my period regardless of it being a no.1 or no.2. I suffer with extreme tiredness to the point where I can barely stay awake in work. If anyone has anything similar please share, I am going to see my consultant in two weeks to discuss but I just wanted to get this off my chest as I have read into endometriosis a lot but I don't want to become obsessed and start self diagnosing as i always do!

Hey love - send me a PM if you want to chat - I had my surgery 3 months back. Had a 12cm dermoid cyst/teratoma in my left ovary and endo on my uterus (they found the endo from doing the lap to remove my cyst).

Where do you live if you dont mind me asking? I am in London and cannot recommend my hospital enough - it was through the NHS and they really looked after me.
