If you've experienced it, Are you happy with provera?
Provera: If you've experienced it, Are you... - Endometriosis UK
Provera
I have been put on provera for 12 days out of 90. So I have one period every three months! I have only just finished my first 12 but I feel fine. No pain fingers crossed, period ok.
I have had raised blood pressure and I'm taking things very gently until my period is over.
I'm going to chest clinic just to make sure everything is ok. I have a Bp monitor at home just incase I feel my Bp is getting higher.
Hope this helps x
Hi Marion 78
I have had a very bad experience with Provera, but I think its because I was possibly given too much of it.I was put on 30mg a day (3 x 10mg tablets) initially, for 6 months, after a lap to remove mild endometriosis. After a few weeks, the dose was increased to 60mg a day, because I was bleeding. I was on this dose for a few months but the side affects were horrendous and I wasn't able to work full time during this time. I've been left with ongoing problems, 1 year later. I am currently investigating whether the dose I was given was too high and would be really interested to hear from any other women who have been given 60mg a day of Provera. Maybe other women tolerate this dose fine? Or maybe this high dose makes eveyrone ill?
