Hi Rajz,
Sorry to hear you're suffering from endo too. Your consultant is right in a way as pregnancy will put the endo on hold but I'm not sure if it is a cure. The pregnancy will alter your hormones and hence put the endo on hold.
Endo can cause infertility so if you're in the early stages it may not be too difficult to conceive (if you're ready to that is). Having said that, it also depends on where about you have the endo deposits so some women may be able to conceive even if the endo is quite advanced.
I've been diagnosed with stage 4 endo. I had a baby nearly 10 years ago and I haven't been able to conceive again. I am now over 40 and paying for ivf treatment.
My consultant has said he will give me a total hysterectomy after I have had a baby as he thinks the pain and al the rest of it will come back.
Endometriosis was originally called 'a career woman's disease' as women who leave it later and later to conceive often end up with endometriosis.
Take care x
Pregnancy doesn't cure endometriosis but it will halt the progression of the disease while your pregnant.
I also breast fed my children and my symptoms only returned after I stopped.
Good luck
X
