really bad pain in right side/ovary area hurts to sit down,breath and go toilet. why is it so bad??

Hi there

I've been hospitalized with this kind of pain before. My theory and my gynaecologist s theory is that it is deep rooted endo that can affect the nerves. Currently I'm on gabapentin which as appears to keep this pain under control. I also take mefenamic acid and transzymic acid plus cocodamal normally around periods. As a last resort I'm on oromorph. Not saying it helps forever but these painkillers do assist. Course you've got side effects is constip etc.

Have you ever tried grh analog injections to give your ovaries a break. They're not long term cures but definitely provided me with relief for six months. It sounds to me like yourpain gets pretty severe . I suggest seeing your gynaecologist if you've got one and/or gp. Sometimes drs can be hard work. So don't give up. Plus try the usual is diet exercise etc. Hope this helps a little.

i ended up going to tge hosiptal that said the pain is not coming from ovarys its cuming from my bowels.

i know its cuming from ovarys as i get it every month wen i ovulate so frustrating.

Hey,

I had the same problem but with my left ovary, it ended up being that my ovary had twisted and stuck to the side of my womb because of all the adhesions that had formed there. I had an ultrasound which is how I found this out and had to have a laparoscopy to sort it out.

Not saying it is this but if you haven't had a scan then it might be worth asking just to check. Hope this helps and hope you get it figured out!

im going 4 a emergancy scan tomoz. im already on waiting list 4 a lap n ovary drilling. never been in this much pain. thank u
