who has had there ovaries drilled? what was it like? im having it done wen they remove my endo during my lap
You won't notice it any different to having the diathermy elsewhere.
It's the exact same thing as having endo removed from the ovaries.
They use diathermy to burn a hole in the ovary for ovarian drilling, as they would if they use diathermy to burn back the endo on the ovary or anywhere else for that matter.
Same recovery applies to all the diathermy or laser burns inside you. Like a severe sunburn inside you cannot reach, it goes through the same process as would your skin after a severe sunburn. tight skin, blistering perhaps, peeling of burnt tissue, intense itchiness (only you cannot scratch it or put aloe vera sun cream on it to cool it down) and eventually the new cells underneath will grow again.
It takes several weeks to properly heal from any burns, so don't expect to be tingles and itch free in a week. More like a month or two of some very strange sensations going on inside you.
it isn't too bad pain wise after a few days, but the itchy sensation is very annoying because you can't get to it.
thank u 4 replying ive neva had endo removed from ovries be4 so im nervous about that. cant be any worse then the pain from endo its self lol xx
