She has had one ovary removed but the remaining ovary is stuck to her bowel with 2 cysts as well. Plus fibroids in her womb she is 48 and has had this since she was 21. With numerous ops and laps..

Hi Presidente, yes I do. I used to be able to call when it would happen more often than not, for example; doing too much, not sticking to my daily routine. In the last 7 months or so this has changed and I can't call it at all now. It doesn't matter what I do anymore. I wake up in the morning with leg pain. My back has always hurt along with my tummy but, now there seems to be hardly any let up. I am on the usual pain relief, paracetamol, slow releasing morphine and oramorph. The doctor stopped the ibruprophen due to pain in my bowel, which is another symptom of endo. I use hot water bottles daily, is be lost without these. Heat pads help on my back too, as my back pain is mainly low down in the centre of my back. Raising legs as often as your daughter can, helps a little. I find hot baths also give that little bit of relief, if only while you're relaxing in it. I'm sure your daughter knows all this and I know it's not much help. She isn't alone though, I totally know and understand how she feels. The days just seem to role into one, the tiredness and depression make it far worse. It's not easy at all, taking each day as it comes and having great support by family and friends are really how I get by. I can't imagine how you feel seeing your daughter in pain and beside herself. I know it's hard for my fiancé. I know this probably hasn't helped much, if at all. Take care x

You're most welcome.

Yes unfortunately I also suffer from leg (and hip) and severe back pain.

I completely agree with Tiggie's detailed response.

The only thing I would add is for your daughter to speak to her GP about being referred to a pain clinc.

Best wishes.

Barbara

Me to, my pain got worse after treatment with Zolodex, also my tummy looks as though I am carrying a 6month old baby!!! god only knows what that is about.

the pain make you so unhappy and makes you not want to do a thing as anything you do will hurt even sitting down!

but there is always hot water bottles, they seem to be the best at supporting us girls with endo!

I have suffered with Endometriosis for 10 years now and after having my daughter I started getting pain down my left hand leg. I have tried many treatments in the past including Zolodex, which actually worked well for me, but isn't a long term solution. My doctor recently gave me Naproxen 500mg to try. After 10 years of horrendous pain I have found this to actually work. I still get some pain, but it has completely gotten rid of the leg pain. I know different things work for different people but maybe worth a go.
