I am recovering from Tonsillitis which seems to have triggered Angioedema which swelled my lips and Tongue dangerously. Two trips to A&E. Now referred to Allergies clinic for testing. Do I need to have my Tonsils removed as they have troubled me a lot over the years?

You and your GP and /or ENT specialist have to make that decision for you. I had my tonsils out at the age of 30 following repeated bouts of tonsilitis. I was so glad to have them out, as after everything was healed, I no longer had a persistent sore throat. Of course, I don't get tonsillitis anymore, either. It is serious surgery, not to be entered into lightly, but having my tonsils out sure improved my life. Good luck, whatever you decide.
I have a tonsilitis as early when i was grade 3 and today im 20yrs. Old. I easily get a tonsilitis when i eat chocolates or sweet stuffs. Can someone help me how im going to rid this. i suffered alot😥
