Sore Throat

After getting over yet another cold I now have a sore throat do these symptoms go hand in hand with chronic fatigue syndrome and other symptoms I have .

hi!,not too keen on frankinsteisbrothers reply,going on about no such thing as cfs! unless you buy the the high grade minerals and vitamins then you are wasting your money.i ignored a sore throat and ended up with guillane barre syndrome,i have been disabled for 23 years thanks to gbs.talk to your doctor about your problems,have you had the flu jab? eat healthy and try to ignore the trolls they are more than pillocks they love to take the micky out of people who are genuinely unwell,remain positive!!!!!!

We all have differantial information and you can validate yours with this guy Dr Bryon Hyde myself I go with my consultant who I have been seeing for 14 months and still ongoing I do believe he knows what he is talking about : )

Yes 14 months is a long time the onset was shingles ( viral ) led to one thing to another still ongoing I am not just dealing with CFS my personal feeling a lot of illnesses serious or not can be a stab in the dark unless you are dealing with specifics my consultant can only go by what I tell him symptoms etc leading him to believe invisible illness CFS ... This forum is for advice and thank you for that it will always be informative and opens up opinions how do you know that CFS is made up ??? is it because it could be something else ??

I enjoyed your post : ) you have had a hard time and came out other end not to be patronising your very knowledgeable in this forum yes shingles is bought on by stress which some people handle and others cannot myself being the latter I said no to steroids I am very aware of what I put into my body health wise I eat as healthy as can be not healthy enough as I would not be having colds,flu's since last November then again stress ... I noted you said about time to heal my hematologist not my consultant my other ongoing condition mentioned my body needed to heal .

He is offering an opinion whether it be right or wrong : ) I believe my consultant he believes Dr blah blah I enjoy reading differential opinions studies have shown CFS does exist may it be due to viral infections stress it is there my personal journey is still ongoing and yours to you you and I know what our bodies physically and mentally is telling us and that is all the prove we need : )

To answer the original question sore throat is supposed to be a common symptom of CFS CFS/ME. I get it a lot.

A sore throat that doesn’t go away for ages and doesn’t produce green sputum, could be Thyroiditis. Especially when combined with chronic fatigue and aches and pains.
