A new study explores the impact of Yi-Shen-Hua-Shi, a traditional Chinese medicine made up of 16 herbs, on early CKD. Here’s are the key take aways:

• Study Design: it was a randomised controlled trial involving 103 CKD patients.

• Main Findings:

- Improved Gut Health: Yi-Shen-Hua-Shi helped regulate gut bacteria imbalances in CKD patients.

- Reduced Proteinuria: Patients experienced significant reductions in proteinuria, a key indicator of kidney damage.

These results suggest a potential complementary treatment option for CKD management. That being said, the sample size for this study was small, which may affect the generalisability of the results. The study duration was also limited, so long-term effects are still unknown.

Yes, very interesting with the gut key to many areas of disease/health.

We effectively adopt gut health for my mum (CKD3) via Nutritional Therapy and think we may also have ameliorated her rapidly increasing albuminuria - further tests to come.🤞🤞
