Hi everyone, I just found out that I have won a consultation with a holistic doctor. I am sceptical but I was wondering what the group think? Is it quackery? Your opinions will be greatly appreciated.
Season's greetings to all.

If you're going in lieu of a nephrologist, I'd be wary.
Ask this holistic doctor about his other kidney patients and their results, but don't expect the full truth. Same goes for a nephrologist.
It sounds like a scam
The consultation may be free but is any follow-up treatment? I would rather be treated by a medical consultant!!
What do you have to lose? You will have a new experience, and if you go with an open mind, you will learn something. What you do with what you learn is up to you. Go eagerly!
Just like with any health practitioner you would see, ask questions, research what they say adn then make a sound judgement that is best for you. I personally am a Holistic Health Coach as well as a nurse, and I think when they are used in conjunction results can be amazing. Communication, and education are the keys to any happy relationship where these two things are concerned.
HI,
To me, holistic mean whole body medicine. All my doctors practice holistic medicine. I would not have it otherwise.
If they are referring to using an alternative medicine practice, then research what they offer. I have never heard about "winning" a consultation, so that would put me off.
Hello, I don't see any harm in it, as long as you don't add or change anything, without your primary physician's consent!
I would love to see a holistic physician, my primary physician is a bit holistic, but she is not what I would consider totally holistic.
I see an Acupuncturist, and that is my only holistic practitioner.
If you go, please keep us updated.
