Change to non-gmo soy. I live off of vege-fruit smoothies with added soy protein and organic virgin olive oil. Cut out all night shades and incorporate organic oats and sweet potoatos as snack for carbs, ect. As long as you use animal products, your inflammation won't get better which contributes to everything. The myth that taking soy causes stuff to happen in men is just that...a myth. The soy turns to phytoestergens...different animal.
Just reading these posts re protein intake and kidney inflammation. So is it generally considered that a meat free plant based diet is the way to go to reduce inflammation? I read somewhere that once kidneys are damaged the damage is done...?
That is correct. Once the damage is done, it's done. The only thing left to do is to be as nice to your kidneys as possible. Plant protein is generally accepted as being a bit more kidney friendly than animal protein. I would definitely switch to soy protein as taivin98 suggested above. As for the creatine, personally, I'd skip it. And you don't want to overdo the soy protein either.
How about taking Fermented Pea Protein?
I started transitioning to become vegetarian and I'm losing weight. Still figuring out the types of food to eat. Gfr 78 - Creatinine 1.17, no leakages. Findings due to extreme dehydration.
