I was diagnosed stage 3 CKD about 7 years ago. I brought my blood kidney numbers into normal range with nutrition, and my GFR fluctuates. The bloodwork before last it was normal, the last one was back down. The other day, I mentioned this to my opthalmologist and he said it was unusual to have low GFR and normal range for all other markers.
Can anyone tell me possible causes, please?
Thank you!

I was diagnosed 8 years ago at 3A (59 eGFR). Last test a few months ago, I was at 3A (48 eGFR), so I losing about 1.5 eGFR per year, which is more than the usual loss, which is 1 per year. All other lab work is fine, no protein in urine. They have no idea was caused by CKD and don't really care because the "treatment" would be the same; eat healthy, try to do a plant based diet, exercise, lower stress, and sleep well. I have a LOT of stress, so that doesn't help any. Best of luck to you.
