Kidney Stone(s)?

My sister had an intense pain that she likened to labor (eeks hers was bad). It's on the left side, but sounds too low to be kidney to me (but she says it could be?). So , I wanted to ask ya'all as I've never had any stones: when kidney stone(s) reach the bladder, can they cause pain there, too? It lasted only an hour and then disappeared. She had a gyno workup and it looks like it wasn't that... thank you in advance :-)

HI Cat,

Passing a stone depends on the size. I have passed small ones and not even known until I saw what was in the bowl which were little pebbles they call gravel. Little pain. But then I have passes some huge ones (3-5ml) and yes, the pain and pressure is intense. Mine took a few days to progress and yes, I felt it the whole way.
