I’m having quite severe leg cramps which started about a month ago. I am stage 3 (b) right now although my GFR tends to jump around. Does anyone know what actually causes these cramps and has anyone been dealing with similar issues?

I was having the same issue. Check your electrolytes.
Mine are always within the normal range however I was still having symptoms.
Low potassium, magnesium, sodium and B12 all can cause leg cramps.
I would have my labs checked.
Hi destiny19
Leg cramps are one of the symptoms of CKD. Margie has shared some good information about getting your electrolytes and blood tests checked. Here is some more information about CKD progression from the Edinburgh Renal Unit: edren.org/ren/edren-info/ck...
