I am Patient family, patient's creatinine level is 4.2 and granular casts has been seen in urine 1/8-10 lpf....can someone please explain what is granular casts and how to treat it.

Hi jyiti_1691 and thank you for your post. Granular casts are a sign of many types of kidney diseases. Red blood cell casts mean there is a microscopic amount of bleeding from the kidney. They are seen in many kidney diseases. Your relative would be best advised to discuss treatment with his/her renal consultant. Are any other forum members able to help jyoti_1691, please? Thank you and yes we are consulting doctor and also getting treatment. Doctor said nothing to worry about but I got worried as this came in report for the first time.
