Pain
Hi SharonBakley and welcome to this caring community. It would be advisable for you to make an appointment to see your GP to establish the cause of this pain. The pain could possibly be due to an infection or the muscles in your lower back, so it is important to seek medical advice. Also, your GP may wish to arrange for you to have some blood tests as you are feeling tired all the time. This could indicate that you are anaemic but the blood tests will establish the cause and this can then be treated. It is important that your remaining kidney continues to function well by keeping your blood pressure under control and by drinking plenty of fluid [about 2 litres per day] or as advised by your doctor. Please stay on this caring forum where you will receive help and support from other members. Are any other members able to help Sharon, please? Thank you and best wishes.
You did not say why the kidney was removed. Mine was removed in 2017 because it had cancer. After 4 or 6 months (I'm don't remember exactly), they did an ultrasound to that area, to ensure nothing was in the surrounding area and that all looked fine. If yours was removed for cancer, and you have pain, you certainly ought to go to the doctor. Have them check internally. But there are so many reasons you can be having pain in that area again which are totally NOT related to the removal of the kidney. I occasionally get a long lasting ache or pain in that area. But I let it go from my mind because I know the area has been checked. I know there is no kidney there to be causing me more detrimental problems, and it is likely muscular. The feeling tire portion of your post too can be caused by a number of different things. Even your worry and woe on the pain will wear you down. Don't sit and worry and think of only terrible things that could be "wrong". Go get checked. All the testing is easy. Blood. Perhaps a scan. It will bring you peace of mind.
