Again, I'm not a doctor but I thought that White Blood Cells in urine was a major sign of a UTI (Urinary Trac Infection). Why they weren't concerned about it surprises me.

Question: Do you know what they call the person who graduates last in their medical school class?

Answer: Doctor.

Kathryn, I've just completed a course of antibiotics for a UTI, diagnosed firstly by a GP saying the specimen contained white cells and blood, and, secondly, the UTI was confirmed by the Lab. White cells in urine definitely point to UTI. Sometimes a GP will hold off giving antibiotics until the specimen has been sent off to the Lab and results received. That way they can be sure that they are prescribing the right antibiotic for the bacteria involved. I think you need to ask questions.

Not what you're looking for?
