How low can you go ?
Mine was 7, a benchmark set by my local health authority. I would ask your consultant as this may differ depending on where you live.
hi my gfr was 8 when they started build up to dialisis.and my creatinin was 750..so looks like very soon...i would recomend peritineum dialisis.its more kind to your body..but you can only have if you have not had op on abdomen ..dont panic i had transplant after only two months on machine nearly a year ago..so keep positive ..there are more donors than at any time...best wishes...chris and family😊
My husband was 6% but should have started sooner as he was feeling terrible it depends a lot on how you are feeling some start at about 12% in general they don't like you to drop too low for too long as other organs start to become damaged x
My father was also at 12% when he started, he had a transplant that lasted 14 years and was still going great when he passed from other health issues. Don't worry. You will do great and live a long healthy life after the transplant. My brother is on 3 years and doing great as well. Don't wait, ask lots of questions. Good luck with everything!!
My GP says my GFR is 18 and creatinine is 2.4 ( high ) in his opinion. Hope the Nephew. Will tell me more next, month.
