I have read that skin irritation/itching is a sign of kidney disease. I am quite new to this site, so still learning/gaining knowlede of this condition. I have stage 3 CKD level 39, and due for an ultrasound in Aug.
Hi. Yes CKD can lead to itchy/irritated skin. Make sure you use lots of moisturiser. If it gets really itchy GP can prescribe antihistamine.
I think itchy skin is an issue with kidney disease as is tiredness. I am ckd stage 4 last weeks figures eGFR 24.9 only just started with the itching though
