Has anyone found their dyslexia has got worse as they are getting older?

I've found my memory has got worse as well as my concentration. The Doctor has told me that Dyslexia can't get worse but that doesn't match my experience

i believe its due to the amount of stress you are under at the time, that you end up not being able to anything, which is really frustrating

First, there are different kinds of dyslexia. And yes, it can get worse over years. Stress is not involved in some kinds of dyslexia. One must be sure not to turn a physical problem into a mental problem where stigma can increase and the dyslexic voices and awareness goes down. There are many kinds of dyslexia from genetic to trauma, so please do the research. A dyslexic that has a physical foundation does not want to read nor hear that "stress" or any cognitive/mental manifestation only develops dyslexia. This is when the ducked tape will cover one's mouth. Please research and get educated before assuming such a rationale. Thanks. Dana Williams

As a 57-year-old and has suffered with dyslexia for years, I'm not sure whether it gets worse, I think stress does contribute to the frustration, but I do find that I constantly have to keep on learning, I do find that life is a lot easier since I've started using Word recognition, which I've had for 12 years, this allows me so much more freedom to communicate with the world. I highly recommend it.
