just joining this community at the start of a sober journey. Have a fast paced job and personal life, with undiagnosed ADHD symptoms and have previously used alcohol to de stress/medicate. Family history of alcohol misuse.
Social drinking turned into regular binge drinking , with memory lapses and awful hangovers with guilt.
Friday 25th of October was my last drink, have had a few tests since then but have been completely sober. This weekend is the first in a very very long time I haven’t had any alcohol.
Feeling strong, but know as time goes on, I need to maintain the strength and hoping that a community with similar experiences will give an added support and understanding 😊

Hi 0Journey. I'm a newbie too. Very similar story. I'm not aiming to be totally alcohol free, but to drink in moderation. Not sure if that's achievable but will see how I go...
It was a big step for me to just join this forum, but it's been a help, with positive messages from others. Hope you get the same too.
Hi 0Journey, just started on this journey too, your story resonates with me. So easy to fall down that slope! Hopefully I can he strong like you and go up that slope not down.
