40 days AF

Have to say when I started on the sobriety road I thought it would be harder than it has been but so far so good. Making sure Im exercising at least 3 days weeks, walks ,swimming ,nothing too strenuous which helps with maintaining my mental well-being and also keep a good stick of herbal drinks and nice juices. I’m definitely not so stressed and seem generally calmer. Reading about other people’s journeys AF helps and reading books that are out there. Also, seeing before and after piccys on line of people who have stopped drinking are also inspiring, especially seeing the potential weight loss. I still go out and have fun,I see my journey as an experiment which spurs me on to continue. Wishing everyone the best regarding their road, take each day as it comes and keep telling yourself positive affirmations every day.

So glad you are enjoying your journey. I have moderated a long time but still would prefer to go AF as it seems a better option than constantly unit counting and feeling deprived. I think the journey can be uncomfortable and sometimes as we can see on this site incrediably painful. However, it's nice to be reminded what freedom looks like. Loving your positive and healthy vibes.

This was great to read. I have had only 2 drinks since May 14th, which is the least I have had to drink in years. I feel better too, but am still tempted at times. What books have you read? I would be curious to look into those. Thank you!
