New here, I used to be a part of Al Anon as my partner has a very unhealthy relationship with alcohol.

But thinking about it there was always alcohol around and I tended to have a glass just because. This became habit I would have “just a glass” earlier and earlier and then I realised I was relying on this to escape the stress of trying to support someone else with a dependency on alcohol

So far I have given up for 2 weeks and feel better for it all ready

I just wanted to see what other benefits people have found from giving it up and is anyone else in the same situation ?

Hi hidden im on my 3rd day of alcohol free and the best part is no hangovers. I can't answer your question as I haven't given up long enough but there are people here that have given up for a while. Keep up the good work. I always struggle on my 3rd day how do you manage and I don't sleep much now as when I was drinking I be out like a light
