I realised not long ago two things, one - since moving my life to my current location I have gained significant weight, for ages I could not figure out why.
Two - since moving I have started drinking more than I ever had, I was always one for a nice glass of wine with dinner or a film but now its always down the pub, beer, beer and more beer. Then comes the awful hangover in the morning.
My biggest problem is no matter how much I say to myself 'you can go to the pub and have a coke' I step through the door and all that goes away. I know they do none alcoholic beer but have never tried it and my mind starts to think well what if you don't like it. We will try it next time.

Hi April - yes do give them a try, you might be pleasantly surprised
If you are in London on 13th August, do come to our non-alcoholic drinks festival, where you taste not just beers, but also wines and new healthier soft drinks. All the details are here: mindfuldrinkingfestival.com
And there is much more on our main website to help you along: joinclubsoda.co.uk
Hi yes beer puts on weight. I also rarely go into a pub and don't drink. So I will avoid them quite often. I do drink a free times a week. At one point years ago it was every day. Still on a journey. Good luck. I also have ME/CFS and look for gentle activities.
