For type 2 diabetes monthly check up is required or is it enough for quarterly medical check up. My level in blood is 189 after food.

I have been prescribed with Diabetrol(twice a day), Pionarm(morning) and polybion during the night. pls advise. I am a diabetic since 1998.

Your diabatic is at higher side . Control your diet and take little diet with short interval .

So far checking of diabatic , you can cheque it twice in a month , But Gluco Meter Company advice to take it daily 3 times. Since strip cost comes to Rs.28 to Rs. 30 , it will be expensive and every body can not afford it .

Avoid smoking , avoid alcohol , take little diet with frequent interval and do moderate walking for 45 minutes regularly and adhere to medication prescribed by your Doctor , I think , you can have a good control and you can check it up once in a month , if you are not able to do it weekly .

A patient understands his condition of body more than a Doctor . Please tell every thing to your Doctor and follow the above tips , you will succeed in life.
