The more you pay (for glucometer, strips etc), the better dough you get. I find Accu Check Active as the most cost effective. More so with subscription offer from HealthKart (visit. healthkart.com). Per strip cost for 1 year subscription (1000 strips @ 18 strips/week) is INR 12.50. Ideal for type 1 diabetics.

Personally, I have tried Abbot's Optium Exceed, J&J's Onetouch Ultra 2 and now Accu Check Active.
