Hi, wanted suggestions based on your personal experience as to which glucometer is most accurate . I have been using BG 03 from Morepen but am not getting accurate results. The issue is that the results are not even consistently inconsistent so that i could then atleast draw a trend.

There is no such thing as a most accurate glucometer. Glucometer results can only be used to establish trends and make some adjustments in our diet, exercise regimen etc.For clinical assessment you can rely only on accredited lab reports. You can choose any glucometer made by a well known manufacturer.

I agree with your reply. The problem is that my current glucometer is very inconsistent and so not able to establish trends. for example if i do the test 3 times simultaneously the results are too varied with a difference of almost 20-30 points in the readings. so was looking at suggestions of more reliable glucometers.

I use One Touch Verio Flex meter and find it is ok. It has a memory function with time, date and the reading.

I agree with you. Better go for the HbAic once in 3 months from a known and dependable lab.

Accucheck is perhaps reasonable.

Has your doctor suggested which monitoring system would be better for you?

Not exactly. He told me that I could buy any from a reputed company. But I did some research on my own and basis the same have just bought yesterday the Contour Next One which is supposed to be one of the best in terms of accuracy.

I am using ONE TOUCH ULTRA EASY. Bought it from a reliable chemist. This machine's results are absolutely accurate as I have checked it with the laboratory results.

Beat O glucometer reading is identical with the best labs readings, (when tested simultaneously, for confirmation purposes). More user friendly, as it operates with an android device, & it only pinches the purse, as much or less than most popular western glucometers..

I will be too glad to send a referral, should one need so.

Do you get that in India and how much does it cost?

I recently bought Glucometer Digital from a Jan Aushadhi Yojana outlet, Borivali, Mumbai, and find that it's the most erratic one, displaying either very high or very low readings. So, don't buy that.
