Millet names in different Indian languages.

"This is a small attempt to understand what is "Siri Dhanya". I have already posted Navane uppittu or foxtail upma, ragi (finger millet) dosa, ragi (finger millet) rotti and ragi (finger millet) mudde recipes. Soon I will post more recipes using these Millets, which you can find in siridhanya or millet recipes post. And to write this article I have referred few documents and websites, which I have listed below."

Enjoy small grains.

I am diabetic since 13 years and my Hba1c would be around 7.4 . I went to gim and worked out for 2 hrs daily and could achieve a1c level of 7.1, not a gram of weight was reduced. Now I started siridhanya all the five millets 2 days each for 3 times. In six months My weight came down to 60 kgs from 71kgs. My energy levels are high through out the day my a1c level dropped to 6.0. Within 6 months. I am continuing siridhanya as we can prepare many tasty recipes and whole family has started to eat siridhanya. I am very happy with the result.

Thanks for sharing the information on Sirudhaniyam sandybrown . It is too difficult to eat Sirudhaniyam 3 times a day. If you can manage to eat, then there is nothing like that.

Sir,

Thank you.

I am a Hindu from Jaffna, Sri Lanka. The Sandy Brown is my complexion and also carries my initials. I know we use Nava dhanayam and other grains in temple.

I saw in village life video clip, how stone grinder is used to grind small grains to make drink like soup, good for health.

We can do our seva to God for healthy life. I am waiting for borders to open to go to India and Sri Lanka, to go to temples to pray.

Take care.

panchsheel sir,

Nice to see that you are familiar with Bangalore.

Even though our language and food are different, we are bounded by the same Sanatana Dharma.

Probably sridhanya is referred to millet diet coined by Dr khader Valli. He opine to have 5 positive millet diet which can cure many diseases. As per him our old diet was ragi ,bajra and jawr.Later we switched to wheat and rice.So most of our disease is linked to rice and wheat. So we break the chain then most modern disease can be cured. Thanks sandy brown sir.

Thank you.

There are many books.

The link below give more information.

Yesterday I found a small home grinder to powder many small grains. If you Google kitchen tools you may find this small home mill.

If we powder small grains at home and cook what ever we want to our taste we can control the additives.

Take care.
