How many insulin units do you take (only for type 1)?

For those who are type 1, i'd just like to know how many units of insulin do you take every day?

Hi nyonyo ,

As sandybrown said, "consult your doctor/specialist" about changes to the insulin dose. I'm type 1 and my doses vary depending on how many carbs. have been eaten at meals throughout the day. If the carbs. are very low in total, then I may have either 1-4 units. If the carbs. are higher because of a special event, I may end up with 5-? after finishing a meal at the time. This is just from my past experience. I hope this helps.
