Better to avoid exercising on empty stomach.I am not a pro,but based on personal experience and some searching on the web,it works like this.As and when you start workout, the brain and liver spring into action.Expecting a need for more energy.glucose is released into the blood stream.Since we do not have the required insulin to balance the sugar level and you will find a spike in the number.I too had a similar issue and posted it on this forum.

Exercise with healthy eating is best for complex human body.

Human body is very complex, blood supply is a closed system. There are 7 holes for various functions. Two of them as we age do not close properly, "Do we need to check on a daily basis when this i going to happen?"

No one knows how the whole body function, there are many experts claiming to know this.

Do check the blood function, only when it is necessary, take medication only when it is necessary, keep away from unnecessary food. This can be achieved. How many times a day poor people eat?

In UK they want to put tax on sugar to stop children taking sugary food.

Who introduced sugar to children and why?

First of all, I admire your approach to monitoring blood sugar response to walking/exercise. This was a wise decision because this is somewhat grey area. People respond differently on walking/exercising. In your case - taking a long walk on empty stomach has caused release of stress hormones e.g. cortisol which in effect raises blood sugar. Liver has stored blood glucose in form of glycogen which is responsible to supply glucose in the blood stream. As a diabetic, your pancreas (insulin resistance/insulin deficient) is unable to reduce the blood glucose level fast enough and hence you measure high BS. Even if you do not go for a walk and remain without food for longer, you will find a rise in BS. I have seen that happening. Sometime my fasting BS is the highest of the day

In your case, as ramana42 suggested, you should avoid morning walk empty stomach. You should eat some light breakfast before going for a walk.

Thanks Mr.Praveen55 for your suggestion.

Now I am under investigation. My p

rescribed insulin is also not working I think. Going to meet my doctor.

What are they investigating? How do they calculate the insulin dosage?

I wish you all the best. Just keep in mind that diet + physical exercise have very important role in controlling diabetes. Depending on the individual's stage of diabetes, a Right Diet combined with some physical activities can result in one of the following:

1. One can take full control of diabetes without any medications.

2. One can reduce the medicines/insulin doses significantly to keep BS in non-diabetic range.

Every one have their own theory! many Asian people in the gym drink water while exercising, use the phone while exercising.

Every morning I get a problem at home I go to the gym after 1/2 hour of eating breakfast. My wife will say you are going our soon after breakfast.

I have been doing this for nearly 5 years, no problem. Starting heart rare is always the same on the tread mill, I walk for 15 minutes to get to the gum.

Half an hour in the gym, another 15 minutes to walk home.

I had faced similar issues not only after morning walk but even after evening walk. This was during my first year when i was diagnosed T2D. You might not had enough physical activity for a long time. Once you become regular with your exercises(any form of cardio), these kind of issues will go off automatically.

fasting activities are associated with a rebound release of glucagon which in turn will release glucose from liver
