You are a diabetic and need to have thorough medical check up by a diabetes doctor. In addition to medication, you have to gain thorough knowledge of diabetes, diet control, adequate physical activity and avoiding stressful situations.

Please above link and study the WHO guidelines on diabetes management.
Hello Anjali I am 54 & have been T1 since 1966. Keeping Active is one of my main things that keep me right.
Welcome to the group, anjali_123 . The numbers that you have provided indicate that your mother is diabetic. Fasting glucose above 126 mg/dl and pp above 200 are diagnosed as diabetic.
You should first consult a Doctor for check-up and possible medications. I believe Doctor may allow her to try suitable diets and exercise for the first three months before prescribing medications as the numbers are not very high.
Could you let me know what is the height and weight of your mother? Is she vegetarian or non-vegetarian? My general advice at this time is that she should reduce carbohydrate intake including sugar, lose weight if over weight and sleep well.
anjali_123 ,
Try lchf diet first for a few days and see the results.
Get the basic investigations done.
Check the:
Fbs
fasting insulin
hba1c
lipid profile
Microalbumin in urine
tsh
sonoscan of abdomen
Good luck.
Hi Sir, can you suggest a typical Indian LCHF Diet. Or if you can guide me to any website which gives menu for indian LCHF diet, it would be of great help.
You have asked the same question in many posts?!
Take a look at this link :
indianlchf.com/beginners-gu...
Full of information.

The above I got after Goggling " Indian LCHF Diet".
Diabetes is diagnosed with the following blood tests:--
Fasting blood glucose level -- diabetes is diagnosed if it is higher than 126 mg/dL two times
Random (nonfasting) blood glucose level -- you may have diabetes if it is higher than 200 mg/dL, and you have symptoms such as increased thirst,
urination, and fatigue (this must be confirmed with a fasting test)
Oral glucose tolerance test -- diabetes is diagnosed if the glucose level is higher than 200 mg/dL after 2 hours
Hemoglobin A1c test
Normal: Less than 5.7%
Pre-diabetes: Between 5.7% and 6.4%
Diabetes: 6.5% or higher
Your Mom's fasting blood sugar and postprandial blood sugar levels are above normal, it is presumed that she has type 2 diabetes. But if she adopts diabetic diet and daily exercise such as brisk walking for about 30 minutes, her blood sugar will certainly become normal even without anti diabetic medications.
I request you to follow the above suggestions and check her blood sugar level after 3 months.
