Sir, Recently I got diabetic. last week I checked my sugar levels, It is in fasting 167 and after breakfast it is 220. previously I am Sciatica patient. I kindly request you to suggest the best medicines to cure diabetic permanently.

There is no cure for diabetes mellitus. But this disease can be controlled by low carbohydrate diet, aerobic exercise, anti-glycemic medications and diabetes education.

Fasting blood sugar should not exceed 100 mg/dL.

Postprandial blood sugar should not exceed 140 mg/dL.

Undergo HbA1c test once in every 3 months.

Consult a diabetologist once in every 3 months.

As Nair Sir has said the reading of FB 100 and below, PP less than 140 is the ideal reading and for a diabetes person if one can keep it below125/ 160 it is term as good control so achieve this first then try to lower it further other wise you will worry so much with 100/140, as your readings are much away from it. The mantra is just cut down on your carb not more than 100 gms a day, exercise and walking for 30 mins and a stress free life , you will be surprised that you God willing may live more than an normal person.
