Try to be drug free. Go for low carb lchf diet and untill you control you bs completely and bring a1c levels around 5.6 continue medicines gradually reducing the dosage. I'm sure with idm you will be able to become drug free.

Please post your profile and lab reports.

Reduce carb.Take medicine and go on measuring Fasting and PP .You will realise that you will be stabilised at certain point. Maintain that.
