How about once a week we can get polls and a list of new members posted so others can know who's who and if they're new? The list would be a pinned post item.

Meaning:
1: Om, (O Lord) Keep me not in the Unreality (of the bondage of the Phenomenal World), but lead me towards the Reality (of the Eternal Self),
2: (O Lord) Keep me not in the Darkness (of Ignorance), but lead me towards the Light (of Spiritual Knowledge),
3: (O Lord) Keep me not in the (Fear of) Death (due to the bondage of the Mortal World), but lead me towards the Immortality (gained by the Knowledge of the Immortal Self beyond Death),
4: Om, (May there be) Peace, Peace, Peace (at the the three levels - Adidaivika, Adibhautika and Adhyatmika)
You may be true for some cases where people are immature....not all Indians are same.
I have been member of another diabetic community where members from around the world are there...from Europe, Russia, USA/Canada etc...and I have found when I post something about "Indian" practice or culture or dietary habit, some (not all) feel the post is "personal" and not useful for diabetics. So, it's about individual people and not all....I feel some are intolerant towards other culture/dietary habit/practice whatever you may call , that doesn't mean all people around the world....like Americans or Europeans are like "that"...One of the person from USA likes Indian food and way of life...so he likes my posts and try to dig into it....not all are same.
Now, we as Indians believe in Yoga and do not use processed foods like it is used around the world. Now, some people from these countries feel it is useful and some do not believe in Yoga just because they are christian!...Yoga is not based on any religion and it is a science of trinity of mind, body and soul! Dietary habits of Indians are best than that of other countries...though most of these people are reluctant to read even post of it....they use all sauces and what not containing preservatives which are nothing but chemicals. However, some of them are beginning to realize this and are cooking from scratch.
So, it is just a cultural difference...all people have to develop tolerance towards other cultures.
I am a Roman Catholic Christian and I have learnt yoga well long before in 2003 itself. Please do not summarily blame "they are Christians". You should tell them about yoga the way they like it, it will work.
You are misunderstanding my words. I just posted few things about Yoga in that community and one of the lady from USA responded..."no Yoga is a spiritual thing related to Hindu religion....I can't do it because I am christian" I didn't say "they are Christians" at all...she herself said that...and some people too...
see you all feel bad when someone says about your culture or ethnicity or religion (though not blamed at all)....won't we Indians too feel for our own culture....? Infact we are proud of our culture and dietary habits and religion/spirituality...Don't blame us too....just if one Indian or few Indians are immature (with reference to words..."Indians always fight over trivial issues") , that doesn't mean you have right to blame all Indians...that's what I was trying to explain in my above post.
The question does not arise with regard to "need to respect each other". Because, mostly well scholar people are in this forum and I am nothing when compared to them. No where I have failed to disrespect anybody here.
Ashka9 may be that lady had different upbringing..its ok....Yoga has nothing to do about religion...it is for spiritual development of individual.... it doesn't make difference if you call him Shiv Shankar or Holy spirit or Allah....
God manifests in different form....May be some one will call him Vishnu some one will call him Jesus...But truth is just one....
It's not about God or Religion, my response above was about that special comment "Indians always fight for trivial issues"....do we really do that? It is letting down a whole Indian community and I can't let it happen as an Indian who can think.

Hidden guess you just give a try for atleast one month....if u fear fats.... do not go for fats...just go on low carbs initially...and then if you could control you sugar levels...you may continue with low carbs.... and then if you feel weak....then u can gradually introduce good fats in ur diet.
I guess wine should not be problem....may be u can try Jambul vinegar....there are many suggest for Apple vinegar...I never tried....but I think Jambul vinegar must be better as per Ayurveda Jambul got some anti diabetic properties....
You can also add some fenugreek and cinnamon in diet....try getting Ceylon cinnamon..
