NO
I guess not considering I had volunteered to donate blood to a relative but my offer was turned down by the doctor.
Diabetics taking hypoglycemic drugs can't donate. Nor those taking anti hypertensives or any medicine for chronic diseases. But those who has controlled diabetes with food and life style adjustments can certainly donate blood.
If you have no complications from your diabetes such as eye, blood vessel or kidney problems and your diabetes is well controlled through diet or oral medication, you will be able to donate. If you require insulin to control your diabetes, call us on 13 14 95 check your eligibility.

Off course you can.Diabetes is not a disease. It is a malfunction of your body.
