Some time this black blot come in my eyes when my blood sugar is high you please also check whether it is due to high blood sugar. When my blood sugar levels is under 170, the blot is no more.

If it is diabetic Retinopathy, it is curable without surgery or operation. Try to get sugar under control, through food. Blot is because of oxidized LDL, normally happens in any part of the body. when it happens in eye, retina, it is called retinopathy. Root cause for this is high triglyceride.

They do come back but in other place of retina.

Feel free to call / contact

Sorry. Retina is supplied by an end artery. Damage done to the retina due to diabetes is irreversible. Go to an ophthalmologist to assess the degree of damage done to the retina by diabetes. Don't neglect. Actually as soon as one is diagnosed having diabetes one should get eyes and retina assessed by a retina specialist.

Let us not jump to conclusion. Be relaxed. just listen. Everyday millions of human cells die and born. Can you say that the dead ones cannot be replaced?

Same way, even retina cells also may be regenerated once we get right nutrients are given to it.

When we have prejudice mind, we may not analyze the more.

😊😊. Relax. All the cells in the body can't regenerate.

Cardiac cells after heart attack - MI can't regenerate.

Brain cells after a paralysis or in alzheimer's disease can't regenerate.

Renal cortical cells once degenerate can't regenerate.

Many highly diabetic patients suffer retinal damage due to high blood sugar. They have to lose vision

Trials with stem cell therapy are conducted all over world. A very little success in regenerating cadiac and brain cells have been obtained. But if the retina is damaged it can't be regenerated

I do not want to discuss about method of treatment till we agree / accept the fact reversing the metabolism / regeneration of cells is possible.

Most of the time everybody talks of prevention is better than cure. When we are able to prevent from deterioration, why not on regeneration.

Let us not talk of specific cells here as we have to, first appreciate that cell can be regenerated.

Let us not talk about immortality at this juncture.

I'm talking facts. I don't want to scare anybody. Not my interest. I just want my friends on this forum and elsewhere to know the facts and take care of their health before landing up into a big trouble - complications.

Sorry, I've never heard of 'blot' - what does it look like? A dark patch? Floaters? What is your solution - you didn't say.

Answer is affirmative to your both questions. Try to keep your HbA1c under 6. It is better to check every 6 months with your eye doctor. I have a dot remaining for nearly two years.

there are certain rules. If someone is taking insulin one's diet has to be fixed according to the dose and effect. Not more not less as if someone has to weight on a weighing machine and eat. Not possible. So more complications. Not to blame insulin. Thanks to it that at least because of it-insulin t1 &2 diabetics live longer and a qualitative life with less complications. Many medical conditions like pregnancy can be safely accomplished. Surgeries become possible. So the drug itself is not bad but it's not utilized properly. Injudicious use of the drug lead to its failure.

practical problems. How many of us would like to calculate carbs and prots in their diet and take insulin and how long.

Further not all the diabetics are so literate or have access to the carb counter.

I have seen diabetics taking sugar liberally. I have seen them doing all the acts that are contraindicated for a diabetic. Smoking, rice, sweets, heavy food to count a few. Those who are aware find the right path.
