Some little known but important complications of diabetes.

We all know about diabetic retinopathy,nephropathy,peripheral neuritis and ED etc. There are other lesser known complications, about which I will talk in short.

1.  Autonomic. Neuropathy-.- a condition in which the nerve associated with regulation of blood pressure heart rate,digestion is damaged. Symptoms related with these include dizziness and fainting .trouble in urination ,gastrointestinal and cardiac problems and also heat intolerance.

2.  Periodontitis--. Symptoms include swelling and bleeding from gums, receding gum line,bad breath and pain in mouth. It can also cause tooth loss and other dental problems.

3.  Skin infections--   Fungal infections include vaginal infection,infection of corner of mouth,ringworm and athletes foot. Bacterial infections include style in eye and nail infections. Dry and itchy skin

4.  Cognitive decline--  memory and attention problems. Increased risk of dementia and decline in intellectual functions.

5.  Musculoskeletal disorders--  limited mobility of joints of hand and shoulder. Pain in joints,joint inflammation and muscle weakness. Joint stiffness and reduced range of movement.

6.  Low testosterone--  leading to ED,vaginal dryness loss of libido. Fatigue and depression.

7.  Hunger excessive and rapid weight loss.

I am 70  and diebetic  for the last 25 years my FBS is 120. I walk regularly for 40minutes. Now Adams when go for morningwalk I feel tiered only slo phase !
