If you don't reduce your current BS levels then you will definitely start feeling exhausted after some time.

You need to consult a doctor immediately. Try to talk to a specialist diabetologist if some one is nearby. Do not take medicines suggested over internet or friends

Your sugar levels in both cases are on higher side. From the mail it is not clear whether readings were taken from the lab test or taken from a Glucose monitor generally used at home. If the test are given by diagnostic lab, you should go for another test i.e Hb A1c to confirm if you are diabetic.

If this test confirms the blood glucose levels are on higher side, you have to consult an Endocrinologist. He is the right person to prescribe your medicines, importantly the dose of such medicines.

DO NOT DECIDE AND TAKE MEDICINES ON YOUR OWN.

You do not need medicine to bring down your sugar level. Most of food sold in supermarket are loaded with sugar, even your breakfast cereals. Proceed food, fast food also contribute to high sugar level in the blood. Seek to start having natural food. cook your food from scratch and also avoid white sugar totally. You can use Stevia to sweeten your tea/coffee. If you can eat more organic greens. This will help to bring your sugar level to normal.

Have a blessed day,

You reading indicates you are diabetic. Please check HbA1C to confirm. It will be good to switch to LCHF.

Your sugar level is still within the controllable limit, but it should be brought further down, either by diet control ( less carbohydrate and less sweets). It is better that you see a Diabetologist for medicines.

you must be engaged in good physical activities and exercises. if not so do increase and start punctually some light exercises. as long as you are feeling more energetic you do not have to worry. simply reduce fat , oil and sweet contents from your diet do not go for metformin based drugs instead when some symptom shows up better get some ayurvedic preperation to avoid side effects of allopathic drugs.

sir, i am sorry to say that i do not agree with your advice.it has become a preposterous statement that diabetes is a silent killer or a curse. believe me the position of abhinav is not critical or negative at all. at this span of age it is a warning and a bliss indeed. only a little bit changes in life style , regular exercise , no carb food and keep himself fid is all that he needs. please do not damage his moral.provide him positive suggestions instead of showing him demons. I assure you my freind that with some simple changes in life style and food habits he will be in better health then he was before this high sugar level syndrome.

Anup Ji, What do you suggest when I feel like eating something sweet. I am diabetic-2 and on medicine. Thanks.

Eat sweet sugar free treats that you can purchase, or make them yourself. I make homemade dark chocolate as follows and I'm never craving goodies when I have my chocolate bars premade.

6 oz Virgin Coconut oil

2oz Butter

4 oz roasted pecans

4 packs of Sweet N Low

2 tsp pure vanilla extract

5 tbs of Coco Powder

Salt and pepper sprinkles to your taste

Melt butter and coconut oil slowly over low heat

Add vanilla

ADD coco powder, add Sweetner 1 pack at a time and taste after adding each packet to you preference.

While on low heat stir constantly, until smooth. then take off heat.

Get a small container 4x4 in or 4x6 inch; sprinkle kosher salt and pepper in the container; add handful of the pecans and then slowly add your chocolate to just cover the nuts. Then sprinkle more nuts, add more chocolate mix, sprinkle salt and pepper. Once all ingredients are in the container, carefully move to the freezer for 30-40 minutes.

After frozen remove from freezer, pop out your sugar free chocolate bar-- and cut into bite size chunks. Put into a small plastic bag and keep it in the freezer. When you have a need for some fatty chocolate, just reach in the the freezer and enjoy it guilt free 100%.

sir, don't take otherwise.I simply wanted to state that a positive attitude towards life leads to fast recovery from any and all ailments.besides i insist on my opinion about diabetes that it is not a curse at all neither a silent killer it is a warning bell indeed. you will find a lot of patients who came out of diabetes at sixties and seventies who are living better healthy life then they were before their diabetes was diagnosed. you will find in ancient texts like ashtang hridaya ; in the chapters where the sage has taught " whom a medicine man should take under treatment, how to treat. sorry if your feelings are hert.

Diabetes is a disease. It's not caused by being overweight or fat. In fact most FAT People never get diabetes.

However, most people that get the disease find they are overweight. This is because most type 2 diabetics are excessive insulin secretors from carbohydrate foods. It's believed it is a genetic disorder triggered by the consumption of the high carbohydrate diet introduced by the recommendation that people eat a low fat high carb diet.

But it's a disease , not a curse... Once you're predisposed to it ; it normally gets worse if not treated properly with diet, exercise and yes medications.

Type 1 diabetics prior to the manufacturing of insulins, was a death sentence. These people starved to death no matter what they ate because type 1 diabetic do not secrete any insulin and without insulin their bodies can not store any fat ever. Today we see type 1 diabetics though that are normal and heavy weight-- because they can inject insulin into their bodies. Controlling Insulin properly is the most important thing in controlling type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

sir, your profile is doubtlessly very impressive. as I have previously expressed that i am nowhere as far as qualifications as I learnt what i have from local jungles and my gurus and mentors from deep woods.with due salutations to their knowledge and expertise. i did not mean to heart your feelings because i am not allowed to do so by my mentor.believe me i do not have doubt on your healing skill. it was my earnest suggestion that we should generate strength in the patient by turning his mind towards positive thinking. as one must have courage to fight the enemy.if one is afraid of enemy which is VYADHI in our case he fails to win over.it is not that he should underestimate the power of apposite but feel that he is stronger then enemy.

Normal is 80 to 120. A Fasting 146 is sort of close to where mine was when I was eating carbohydrates in excess of 30 grams per day. If you severely restrict daily carbohydrate and substitute with higher fat and moderate protein within 4 to 6 weeks you will notice fasting levels coming down greatly and better control of blood sugars without the aid of drugs.

Google ketogenic diet and diabetes. It works miracles for type 1 and 2 diabetics.

Another guy I suggest you look at is Dr. Jason fung out of Canada. He has a whole series of videos that talk about the etiology of obesity and diabetes. His approach is fasting to cure your diabetes. There are hard fasts, and intermittent fasting techniques that can also help with this disease better than most medications.

I've personally used ketogenic dieting to treat my condition and my sugars ran anywhere from 135 to over 300's. I eliminated all insulins and oral medications by following the ketogenic approach now for over 6 months. I also lost about 40lbs over this time eating well all the time. But you are in a sugar / carbohydrate fast.

Most type 2 diabetics secrete adequate or often too much insulin. The issue of this disease is resistance of the cells to the insulin and it's strongly correlated within the liver. Hard fasting, like not eating at all for 30, 60, or 90 days forces your liver and pancreas to burn organ fat within themselves and this often cures people of the disease by shedding the organ fat that is inhibiting these two organs from performing optimally. The liver creates IGF (Insulin Growth Factor) and in a healthy liver the IGF is about 100 x greater at controlling blood sugar than your insulin created by the pancreas. Once you burn the organ fat in these two organs, most people are diabetic free. The same happens to people that have bariatric surgery, they are forced into a hard fast, and 95% of them are cured of their diabetes within weeks of their surgery because they simply can't eat enough calories from carbohydrate sources anymore. Instead they get most of their calories from a high fat drink with tiny amounts of carbohydrates.

You should test it. Go on a short fast, try 3 days, then push for 4, or 5 etc... note your sugars from day 1 to your longest fast period. You will see that they start to normalize quickly. The longest observed clinical fast was 383 day and the patient only got better day after day. It's a myth that you will starve to death--- it's a fact your immunity, your blood pressure, your blood sugars, your cholesterols and anti-inflammatory factor all improve while fasting. Science has proven that fasting and eating less greatly increases one good health and increases life span.

After the Christmas Holiday here; I'm going on a hard fast for as long as I can sustain it, and then I'm going to incorporate intermittent fasting 2 days a week each week after the hard fast, and I'm going to still maintain a diet that never overindulges in sugar or carbohydrate. I'm praying the fasting in 2016 provides a cure, the intermittent fasting provides maintenance for the cure, and the management of sugar and carbohydrates benefit the maintenance factors of my cure.

Good Luck to you!

Michael

The sugar damages nerves, and organ if left unchecked for long periods of time. Equally damaging is that most type 2 diabetics secrete to much insulin. A typical diabetic has excess insulin in their blood along with excess sugar. The high insulin is believed to cause Arterial Inflammation, and this results in lesions inside artery walls; then Calcium not FAT adheres to these lesions to create an obstacle in the arterial wall. Finally after this damage caused from inflammation due to high insulin levels and high sugar levels fatty deposits in the blood can stick to the hard calcium and further block the flow of blood. This is hardening of the arteries and or Cardiovascular disease.

So as a diabetic you need to greatly reduce foods that increase insulin secretion and cause blood sugars to raise. That's why it's doubly important to simultaneously attach high insulin and high blood sugars with a low carbohydrate diet approach. To help lower the calcium in your blood you need to eat foods rich in vitamin K2. K2 gets the calcium that gets into your blood from your bones back into the bones where it mostly belongs. Also dietary calcium isn't the problem here... The calcium that gets into our blood is leached from the bones as the marrow is producing new blood cells. The French eat Foie Gras which is extremely rich in vitamin K2 and this is why those that maintain a traditional French diet are not normally affected by cardiovascular disease as westerners see. The K2 pushes excess calcium back to the bones where it belongs...

You get K2 via eggs and mostly meets and especially livers from cattle and fowl.

Actually it's more correct to say "overweight & obesity" are symptoms of a diabetic person. But the norm regarding most overweight people is that most are diabetic free. Most Fat people have normal blood sugar levels and this is scientific fact.

A type 2 diabectic however over secretes insulin. High insulin levels result in gaining weight. High insulin not high sugar levels is the primary cause of diabetes.

You control both high sugar and high insulin levels via a low carbohydrate high fat diet.
