Avoid or at least sparingly very sweet fruits like mango. You may consume less sweet fruits like papaya.

Berries are all right. Semi ripe guava and papaya is also fine. These won't spike bs. Some researchers say that mango in small quantity say between 20-50 gms is actually beneficial for diabetics as it has some anti diabetic properties. Several months back there was discussion on this subject in this forum.

Orange is the best fruit for diabetic patients. Next comes Pappaiya. Sweet Lemons (Mosambi in Rashtra Bhasha ) . As far as possible try to avoid Chikku, Custard Apple, bananas etc. as these fruits contain more sweetness and fructose that may not be good for reducing blood sugar.

Any fruit in yellow color, grapes, chiku is not advisable. Mango and jackfruit are totally no no. One apple a day, guava (not soft and yellow) black berries, blue berries and straw berries are ok. oranges moderately can be taken.

What you need to do is test yourself with Accucheck or any other glucometer after eating different fruits to see your body's reaction. Same with vegetables. I found that banana and beetroot raises my blood sugar while other fruits dont. So it is different for different individual. A tip, keeps meals small and have about six meals a day. Or if you are having a fruit, have half. These keep sugar under check.
